random food post of the week

not exactly the food of my people but close enough. went to the Korean store tonight and bought this kimbap for lunch tomorrow. I can’t believe I actually went through the trouble of unwrapping it, taking a picture, and then putting it back in the container haha.

Afternoon Haze – [p.52] Week 8

My first blog post with the Canon 7D! I know, I’m a traitor to Nikon….. I mainly decided on the switch because 1)I wanted to experiment with some video features and found that Canon seemed to have better video capabilities and 2) because my old Nikon D300 was rapidly depreciating in value and I wanted to sell it off before it depreciated any further. I’m still pretty unfamiliar with the settings on the Canon but am starting to get used to it.

Ranch 99 – [p.52] Week 7

Grocery shopping at Ranch 99 with Brian in San Jose. I didn’t really buy anything, just stood around taking pictures like a creeper haha.

head accessories – [p.52] Week 6

This week’s theme was “something in your room.” My room is pretty boring so it took me a while to find something remotely interesting to photograph. I bought the two colorful beanies on the left in college and only wore them once each haha (what a waste of money). I remember thinking they were really awesome when I first bought them but then quickly felt self-conscious wearing them around. My favorite “color” to wear is black and my closet definitely reflects this. These two things stick out like a sore thumb in my closet but add a nice splash of color to an otherwise neutrally colored wardrobe. The weird thing is that I like it when other people wear bright colors but hate seeing those same bright colors on myself.

reflections – [p.52] Week 5

Lake Merritt is a short stroll from my apartment complex. These shots were taken at dusk in the few minutes before it became completely dark. The water in the lake is never still. At first I was a bit disappointed because I wanted a clear reflection shot but I actually think the end result is a bit more interesting.
